About The Guild

The BC Craft Brewers Guild represents craft breweries from all over BC. The mission of the Guild is to support the ongoing creation and discovery of truly great BC craft beer by helping British Columbians understand the cultural, community, and economic benefits of BC’s vibrant craft beer scene. Our business is not merely about dedication to our craft, innovative brewing, and our ingredients. Our business is formed to fulfill the needs of not just our customers but our people who drive and serve it passionately and purposefully.

The Guild works to unite the voices of all the craft breweries in BC; so BC’s craft beer community continues to develop and grow, and advocates on behalf of our breweries by working with the local and provincial government to sustain and improve support for BC craft breweries that create local jobs, and boost local economies and local communities throughout BC.

BCCBG Code of Conduct

About our Code of Conduct:

Released in June 2022, our BC Craft Brewers Guild Anti-Harassment, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Code of Conduct and Members Handbook were developed in tandem, supporting members to meet or exceed the following objectives in terms of our collective DEI responsibilities.

  1. To create safety within the industry.
  2. To create an inclusive industry.
  3. To provide guidance on creating safe spaces within their own brewery.
  4. To highlight the importance of eradicating bullying and harassment.

We have worked diligently with the experts at Jalapeno Employee Engagement and Melanie Samuels of Singleton Reynolds over the past year to prepare the most comprehensive and applicable tools for you, our members. We strongly encourage all members to review the Code of Conduct and Members Handbook, and to adopt, create or update your own brewery’s Code of Conduct.

We have also partnered with #NotMe to provide the most comprehensive reporting tool for the industry at special members-only pricing. #NotMe is the easiest reporting platform to use and the fastest to implement.

We are on a mission to create a safe workplace across this country for our industry.

It is clear that we must make our industry a better place to work. Words alone will not accomplish this, so here are actions we are taking to ignite radical change. In partnership with the Canadian Craft Brewers Association, Jalapeno, and other organizations dedicated to creating safe and respectful workplaces, we have been working on initiatives with a strategic, data-driven approach to create fundamental change at both the company and national levels.

If you are in need of support we request that you reach out to us directly via reachout@bccraftbeer.com so we may connect you to our resources. We assure you that all information will be kept confidential to protect your privacy.
