Who is Mighty Peace Brewing?

Mighty Peace Brewing Co. is a production and taproom brewery located in Fort Saint John, BC on the unceded territories of the Dane-Zaa Nation. 


The Operation

Our operation consists of a 15 barrel (1760 Litres) brewhouse, 77 BBL total fermenter space, 45 BBL total Brite tank space and a wicked Alpha Beer Cannon canning line that can fill up to 40 cans per minute. The focus is on quality ingredients used with a ridiculous amount of detail to create only the finest brews. We strive to connect local agriculture to our products to promote sustainable practices and push the envelope of experience with our beer culture.

We are looking for someone who wants to evolve the craft beer scene long term in Northern BC through their creativity and work ethic. The position entails all aspects of operating a brewery including QA/yeast cell counts, cellaring, operating a canning line, brewing, and R&D projects. There is considerable opportunity for growth within Mighty Peace Brewing Co., with potential leading to a Head Brewer position.


Skills and Experience


  • Brewery production experience is preferred
  • Formal brewing post-secondary education preferred
  • Physically fit; able to lift 55 lb bags, etc., manoeuvre kegs, etc
  • Willing to live far up North
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creative initiative 
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Passionate about beer 
  • Experience working with any canning line an asset
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Flexible schedule
  • Goal orientated 
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Following all CIP/SIP SOP and safety protocols of all equipment

Duties include

  • Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, transfer hoses, and brinks
  • Assisting in brewing operations and recipe development
  • Experimenting with new ingredients and research 
  • Communicate with the Head Brewer regarding day to day operations and production scheduling
  • Yeast harvesting and yeast cell counts
  • Transfers and filtration 
  • Kegging and Canning
  • Other duties assigned by Head Brewer/Operations manager 

Salary: $18-$26 per hour based on experience
