Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers has been open for seven years and we’re looking for a new Brewer/Cellarperson to join our team. We have a lineup of core brands and are always releasing seasonal products, focusing mainly on canning and draft. Deep Cove has a very busy lounge/tasting room with a kitchen and large patio.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday schedule, with some early mornings and some later afternoon shifts.
The right candidate will be expected to:
Do everything from canning to brewing;
Report directly to the head brewer/production manager; and
Take part in all aspects of the brewery work and some distilling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be a leader in the brewery, setting a positive example of safety and hard work
Brewing and distilling
Running canning line
Anything related to general brewery and distillery work
Attend the odd event or staff outing, if willing
Ensure all record keeping and paperwork is completed after each task
Experience and Skills:
Brewery experience is a must
Brewing diploma from KPU or another brewing school, is preferred
No distillery experience required, although it’s an asset
Passion for craft beer is a definite
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic!
Compensation will be based on experience
