Job Summary:
We are seeking a Small Batch Brewmaster to join our team and oversee the production of high-quality small-batch beers, with a focus on using local products, especially fruits. The ideal candidate will have experience in craft brewing and possess a passion for using locally sourced ingredients to create unique and innovative beers. As the Brewmaster, you will be responsible for overseeing the brewing process, maintaining quality control, and educating staff and customers on the various beers produced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop unique and innovative beer recipes, utilizing local products and fruits.
- Oversee the brewing process, including all aspects of brewing, fermentation, and conditioning.
- Maintain the brewing equipment and perform regular cleaning and maintenance.
- Manage the inventory of brewing materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Train and educate staff on the various beers produced, including taste, aroma, and ingredients.
- Interact with customers, discussing the beer and answering any questions they may have.
- Develop and lead educational events such as brewery tours, tastings, and beer-pairing dinners.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new brewing techniques, and share this knowledge with the team and customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in brewing science or related field preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in craft brewing, with a focus on small-batch production.
- Strong knowledge of the brewing process, including recipe development, brewing techniques, and quality control.
- Passion for using local ingredients and creating unique and innovative beers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent people skills and ability to interact with customers and staff.
- Experience in developing and leading educational events such as brewery tours, tastings, and beer-pairing dinners is a plus.
