Main St Brewing is in search of a hard working, detail-oriented individual with a passion for beer to fill the role of Packaging Manager.
Reporting to the Head Brewer and operational team, and liaising with the
Logistics Coordinator, the Packaging Manager is in charge of cellar operations and product inventory management.
Supervising other packaging staff
Managing product transfers between the brewery and Direct Tap warehouse
Loading in/out of product using the forklift
Organizing deliveries, working with delivery driver and Logistics Coordinator
Transferring beer from fermentation vessels to brite tanks
Operation and maintenance of packaging equipment, including canning line, bottling line, keg filler
Managing keg inventory, i.e. arranging for return of dirty and kegs and ensuring they are cleaned properly
Organizing and maintaining draft system
Potentially helping out on brewhouse, depending on need
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
Observing safety precautions to ensure the safety of self and colleagues
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
1+ year experience in a commercial brewery, preferably doing cellar work
Interest in and knowledge of beer, with a desire to learn more
Strong work ethic and ability to manage time effectively
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Physically fit, able to lift 150 lbs
Forklift certification an asset
Formal brewing education an asset
This is a full time, salaried position. Pay will depend on experience, with benefits after 3 months.
