Job Description: Packaging & Logistics Co-ordinator
The Packaging Co-ordinator is responsible for packaging and cellaring operations. Reporting to the Head Brewer, they direct other packaging personnel as they assist with scheduling, packaging runs, and other cleaning and maintenance. They are also in charge of managing stock on-site and at off-site warehouses.
The job duties include (but are not limited to):
CIP of Brite tanks/canning machine/bottling machine
Transfers of beer from FV to brite
Equipment maintenance & repairs of Cask canning line.
Running canning/bottling machine during packaging runs
Cleaning/filling kegs
Managing product inventory in home warehouse and off-site storage.
Organizing fridges and scheduling tapping of new kegs/firkins and communicating this with front-of-house staff and rotating stock and general organization.
Scheduling trucks to/from off-site warehouses in order to move product in a timely fashion
Organizing deliveries to be sent out of the brewery; maintaining an appropriate stock of product to facilitate deliveries and off-site product inventory.
Tracking inventory and communicating with the production team to ensure adequate stock levels and product inventory.
ยท Communicating with the sales team about deliveries and product availability and product inventory.
Troubleshooting/problem-solving.
Basic QA/QC duties.
Following all safety procedures.
Requirements for this position include:
Ability to get to work punctually to meet production schedule demands.
Effective multi-tasker, problem-solver, critical thinker with attention to detail.
Quick learner who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Someone who can work safely in the hazardous environment of a brewery (which includes environments which are hot, cold, wet, dealing with electricity, mechanical hazards, pressurized vessels, heights, chemicals, etc). Work safely and understand brewery hazards.
Physically capable of lifting 55-pound objects and moving 170-pound kegs.
Hard work ethic and a positive attitude.
Good communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude is a big bonus.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
